Looking to the future.....

….and making choices on how to move forward.

Now that the UK government have announced how the first stages of unlocking the lockdown will likely happen, we have the opportunity to think about how that affects us and the work we do.

• Will we be some of the first to work on site or will we keep working from home for some time yet?

• How impacted will our industry be? What about our supply chain?

• Have we or any of our colleagues suffered a bereavement?

• Will our work need to change to meet a changed business model?

• What support will we all need?

• Do we still want to commute and travel or has that changed?

• Have our priorities changed?

So many questions….with most of the answers being very individual. So what do you want to keep from your recent experiences and way of working? And what have you really missed that you can’t wait to do again?

For me, I am looking forward to being able to hug the people I love and to taking the dog to her agility training again. In work, I love the collaboration, engagement and cooperation of everyone having to work remotely - when it is normal for all, there is no judgement on preferring to work at home and no indulging the old stereotype of “skiving from home”!
