Hiring without the bias - Be Applied

Applied provides software that empowers teams to make hiring decisions based on data, with a process candidates love.

Biases can lead us to make less-than-perfect hiring decisions, meaning the best candidates can fall through the cracks. Applied turns inclusive recruitment into a science. Their hiring software tests the real skills needed for each job, so you can eliminate bias and find your ideal candidate.

They also offer a job description analysis tool highlights any instances of bias to give you the best possible chance of converting talented candidates.

Recruiting Ex-Offenders

Ban The Box - a Business in the Community campaign calls on UK employers to give ex-offenders a fair chance to compete for jobs. Companies that sign up commit to removing any tick box from job application forms that asks about criminal convictions and, if necessary, moving this question to later in the recruitment process so they fairly consider applicants’ skills, experience and ability to do the job.

You can also find useful resources and information on recruiting ex-offenders on the Unlock website.
