Queens Award for Voluntary Service

Queens Award for Voluntary Service

I was honoured to be part of an amazing afternoon of celebration yesterday for organisations in receipt of the Queens Award for voluntary service, in particular to be one of the fabulous Suited for Success team! A huge well done to everyone involved.

In June 2019 Suited for Success was honoured with The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, the highest award a voluntary group can receive in the UK. Suited for Success is one of 281 charities, social enterprises and voluntary groups across the UK to receive the prestigious award in this year. The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service aims to recognise outstanding work by volunteer groups to benefit their local communities. It was created in 2002 to celebrate the Queen’s Golden Jubilee.

This was celebrated this month (October 2019) at an awards event hosted by the West Midlands Lieutenancy for 16 West Midlands charities at Birmingham Hippodrome, an amazing event. And followed by a team celebration of all volunteers and Trustees for Suited for Success.
