Time for a pit stop?

Do you take time out for yourself?

In this strange, changing, overwhelming world we’re living in right now, it has never been more important to make sure we take regular pit stops and look after ourselves. Whether that is a daily walk, a weekend with no work, or a long, hot soak in a bubble bath!

Everything needs a break sometimes….formula 1 cars, the epitome of motor engineering, still need a pit stop….your IT often works better if it has been switched off an on again…and us humans too. We need to have some down time to make us function better, for our mental, physical and emotional health. Particularly for anyone working in HR this year, firefighting all those changes and new guidance / legislation but remember “you don’t need to set yourself on fire to keep other people warm”.

So, what is your way of looking after yourself? For me, a long walk with the dog really helps. Also, this year, I’ve rediscovered, jigsaw puzzles, really relaxing and doesn’t involve a screen.
